Hi I'm Ben
As far as perfumery goes, I have no qualifications. Fortunately, I was born with a nose attached to my face and have been making solid use of that appendage for some time. I first found interest in perfume in the mid-nineties with the release of CKOne and I quickly fell in love with the allure of perfume. At the same time, as a scrotty teenager with punk aspirations, I began looking for alternatives to set myself apart from my schoolmates. L'eau d'Issey Pour Homme was a natural stepping off point from the CKOne train but my exploration never truly ended, until somehow, it became a hobby.
I do dabble in perfumery and intend to launch an indie brand in the not so distant future, but mainly I just enjoy smelling nice things.
Aside from perfume, my academic background is in the social sciences. I write, produce and host a podcast on strange, unusual and somewhat twisted events in history. I've been learning to speak Japanese for well over a decade and I enjoy playing what could loosely be described as "music". I guess the punk aspirations never fully disappeared.
